Handcrafted Round and Oval Sinks

The collection includes two principal shapes:

  • Round sinks provide a balanced, compact shape that works well on bathroom shelves, vanity units and cloakroom furniture.
  • Oval sinks offer a wider profile and can create a strong focal point across a larger vanity or worktop.

Check the individual technical drawing before ordering. Overall dimensions, bowl depth and the space required below the sink will affect the worktop, cabinetry, waste connection and tap position.

Smooth and Hammered Sinks

Both shapes are available with smooth or hammered surfaces:

  • Smooth sinks have a clean, highly polished surface that emphasises the shape and reflective quality of the finish.
  • Hammered sinks have an individually textured surface created by hand. Small variations in the pattern are part of the handcrafted appearance rather than manufacturing faults.

The hammered texture reflects light differently across the bowl, making it particularly effective in traditional, rustic and characterful interiors. Smooth versions provide a more restrained finish suitable for both classic and contemporary schemes.

Brass, Copper and Nickel Finishes

The collection is available in three distinctive colour options:

  • Brass provides a warm golden-yellow appearance that works well with traditional brass taps, cabinet fittings and lighting.
  • Copper has warmer reddish-brown tones and creates a strong decorative focal point.
  • Nickel provides a cooler silver-grey appearance for lighter and more contemporary interiors.

These descriptions refer to the visible finish. The underlying base material and finishing process may vary, so check the individual product specification if the exact material construction is important to your project.

Surface-Mounted or Recessed Installation

The sinks can be displayed on top of a suitable shelf or vanity unit or recessed into a compatible worktop. The chosen method will affect the finished height of the basin, the amount of bowl visible and the space available for plumbing beneath it.

Before ordering, decide:

  • Whether the sink will be surface-mounted or recessed
  • The finished height of the basin rim
  • How much space is available inside the vanity unit
  • Where the tap and controls will be positioned
  • Whether the existing worktop can support the sink
  • How the waste and water supplies will be routed

Installation should be planned with a competent plumber or bathroom installer before the worktop is cut.

Choosing a Tap

Consider the height and reach of the tap in relation to the bowl. The water should fall comfortably inside the basin without striking the side at an angle that causes excessive splashing.

Depending on the installation, the sink may need a separate deck-mounted, worktop-mounted or wall-mounted tap. Check the product drawing for tap-hole information and allow sufficient clearance behind the basin for the tap, controls and cleaning.

Waste Compatibility

The sinks are designed for use with a suitable unslotted basin waste. Current product specifications state compatibility with an unslotted waste fitting up to a maximum external diameter of 62mm, with a 45mm plug hole.

Confirm these measurements on the individual listing before purchasing the waste. Also check whether the waste, trap and tap are included or need to be ordered separately.

A slotted waste is normally used with a basin that has an overflow channel. Do not substitute one waste type for another without checking the basin specification and taking advice from your installer.

What to Measure Before Ordering

Check the technical drawing and confirm:

  • The overall width and depth of the sink
  • The height and internal depth of the bowl
  • The plug-hole diameter
  • The maximum compatible waste diameter
  • The worktop opening required for a recessed installation
  • The available space for the waste and trap beneath the basin
  • The proposed tap height, reach and position
  • The finished height of the basin rim

The round and oval sinks have different dimensions, so cabinetry or worktops should not be prepared using a general collection measurement.

Caring for Brass, Copper and Nickel Sinks

The polished finish requires gentle care. Avoid chemical cleaners, abrasive powders, scouring pads and harsh bathroom sprays, as these may mark or alter the surface.

Wipe away water, soap and other residues with a soft cloth and lightly buff the surface dry. Regular drying can help reduce water marks and deposits, particularly in hard-water areas.

Metal finishes may gradually change through use, handling and exposure to water. Follow the care instructions on the individual product page and test any recommended cleaning method on an inconspicuous area first.
