Heritage Brass Coat Hooks

Heritage Brass coat hooks combine practical wall-mounted storage with finishes designed to coordinate with other M-Marcus architectural hardware. They can be used individually or arranged as a group to suit the available wall space and the items you need to store.

The collection includes compact robe hooks, curved single hooks, double hooks and longer hat and coat hooks. A single hook can work well in a bedroom or bathroom, while larger and double designs provide additional hanging space in busy hallways and utility rooms.

Check the height, width and projection of each hook before ordering. Projection is particularly important behind doors and in narrow hallways, where a deep hook could obstruct the available space.

Wall-Mounted Coat Hooks

Wall-mounted coat hooks can be fixed directly to a suitable wall, timber panel, door or purpose-made hook board. The best fixing method depends on the surface construction and the expected combined weight of the hook and stored items.

Consider what will normally be hung from each hook. Lightweight robes and towels place different demands on the fixing from heavy winter coats, school bags or filled shopping bags.

Before installation, confirm:

  • The construction and condition of the mounting surface
  • The dimensions and projection of the selected hook
  • The expected weight placed on each fixing
  • The required spacing between adjoining hooks
  • The appropriate mounting height for the intended users
  • The position of concealed cables, pipes and other services

Use fixings suited to the wall or board construction. Plasterboard installations may require appropriate anchors or a fixing into structural support behind the board.

Single, Double and Robe Hooks

Single coat hooks provide one clear hanging point and are useful where space is restricted. Double coat hooks divide the fitting into two hanging positions, making them suitable for holding more than one item or separating coats from hats and bags.

Robe hooks generally have a more compact profile and work well in bedrooms, dressing areas, bathrooms and cloakrooms. When fitting hooks in a bathroom or other humid space, check the individual product’s material, finish and suitability for the location.

Hat and Coat Hooks

Hat and coat hooks commonly combine a longer upper arm with a lower hook, providing separate positions for different items. Their greater projection can accommodate bulky coats but requires more clearance from doors, corners and passing areas.

Position the hook at a height that makes both sections practical to use. Leave enough space between neighbouring hooks to prevent larger garments from overlapping excessively.

Coat Racks and Hook Boards

A wall-mounted coat rack provides several hooks in one coordinated fitting. This can be a convenient option for entrances, family hallways and utility rooms where multiple coats and bags need to be stored together.

Alternatively, individual hooks can be fitted to a timber board to create a custom coat rack. This allows you to choose the number, spacing and arrangement of hooks while distributing the mounting points across a larger backing surface.

Plan the complete layout before drilling. Check the overall width of the rack or board, the clearance beneath it and whether doors or nearby cupboards can open without striking the hooks or stored items.

Brass Coat Hooks and Coordinating Finishes

Heritage Brass hooks are available in selected brass, bronze, chrome, nickel and darker finishes. The available options vary by design, so review each product page for the exact finish, material and care guidance.

Brass coat hooks can bring a warm decorative detail to natural timber, painted panelling and traditional interiors. Chrome, nickel and darker finishes can be coordinated with more contemporary door and cabinet furniture.

For the closest match, select products from the same Heritage Brass finish family. Minor differences may still occur between materials, product types and manufacturing processes.
