Stainless Steel Cabinet Furniture

Explore our collection of stainless steel cabinet hardware, including cupboard knobs and cabinet pull handles manufactured from Grade 316 marine-grade stainless steel. Their clean appearance and excellent corrosion resistance make them suitable for kitchens, bathrooms, utility rooms and coastal properties.

Choose from two coordinated finishes. Satin Marine Stainless Steel has a softly brushed appearance, while Polished Marine Stainless Steel provides a brighter, more reflective surface. Both finishes can be matched with selected door, window and home hardware from our wider stainless steel range.

Marine-grade stainless steel is particularly useful in areas exposed to moisture, humidity and salt air. Regular cleaning is still recommended, especially in coastal environments, to remove deposits and maintain the finish.

What Is Grade 316 Marine-Grade Stainless Steel?

Grade 316 is a high-performance stainless steel alloy containing chromium, nickel and molybdenum. The addition of molybdenum helps improve resistance to corrosion caused by moisture and chloride deposits, including the salt carried in coastal air.

This makes Grade 316 a strong choice for cabinet furniture in bathrooms, kitchens, utility rooms, garden rooms and coastal homes. It also provides a practical alternative to plated finishes where greater resistance to moisture is required.

Stainless Steel Cabinet Knobs

Stainless steel cabinet knobs provide a compact and straightforward fitting for cupboard doors, drawers, wardrobes and fitted furniture. Because most cabinet knobs use a single fixing point, they are also a practical choice when updating existing cabinetry.

Check the knob diameter and projection before ordering. Smaller knobs can suit compact drawers and cabinet doors, while larger designs provide a more substantial grip on full-height cupboards and wardrobes.

Stainless Steel Cabinet Handles

Stainless steel cabinet handles offer a larger gripping area and work particularly well on kitchen drawers, integrated appliance doors and frequently used cupboards.

If you are replacing an existing handle, measure the centre-to-centre distance between its two fixing holes. This measurement must match the new handle if you want to reuse the existing holes.

Satin or Polished Marine Stainless Steel?

The two finishes have the same underlying marine-grade material but create different visual effects:

  • Satin Marine Stainless Steel has a brushed, understated appearance. It works well in contemporary kitchens and can be less reflective under strong lighting.
  • Polished Marine Stainless Steel has a brighter, reflective surface that creates a more prominent decorative detail.

Both finishes can complement modern interiors, coastal properties and more traditional rooms where a clean metallic contrast is required.

Suitable Rooms and Applications

Marine-grade stainless steel cabinet furniture can be used across a range of interior projects, including:

  • Kitchen cupboards and drawers
  • Bathroom vanity units
  • Utility rooms and boot rooms
  • Fitted wardrobes and bedroom furniture
  • Garden rooms and coastal properties
  • High-use cupboards in busy family homes

For outdoor cabinetry or particularly exposed locations, check the individual product description and consider the material of the cabinet, fixings and surrounding components as well as the handle itself.

Why Choose Stainless Steel for Coastal Homes?

Salt air can accelerate the deterioration of unsuitable metals and plated finishes. Grade 316 stainless steel offers increased resistance to these conditions, making it a practical choice for homes near the coast.

However, corrosion-resistant does not mean maintenance-free. Salt, dirt and cleaning residues should not be allowed to build up on the surface, particularly in exposed coastal locations.

How to Measure for Cabinet Hardware

Before ordering, check the following measurements:

  • The diameter and projection of cabinet knobs
  • The overall length and projection of pull handles
  • The centre-to-centre distance between handle fixing holes
  • The thickness of the cupboard door or drawer front
  • The length and type of fixing screw supplied
  • Clearance from neighbouring doors, drawers and worktops

Product dimensions and fixing information are available on the individual listings. Never drill new holes until you have checked the physical product against the cabinet.

Caring for Marine-Grade Stainless Steel

Clean stainless steel cabinet furniture regularly with a soft cloth and mild soapy water. Rinse away cleaning residue and dry the surface with a clean cloth to reduce water marks.

Avoid abrasive pads, wire wool, bleach and cleaners containing chlorides. These can scratch the surface, leave behind contaminating particles or affect the appearance of the finish.

In coastal properties, clean the hardware more frequently to remove salt deposits. Follow the visible direction of the grain when wiping a satin finish.
