Ceramic Door Knobs

Ceramic door knobs are a traditional choice for internal doors, bedrooms, bathrooms, wardrobes and country-style interiors. Their clean surface and decorative finishes make them well suited to painted doors, cottages, period homes and lighter interior schemes.

Our collection includes plain white ceramic door knobs, white ceramic knobs with gold detailing, cream crackle designs and white crackle styles. These finishes work well where you want door furniture that feels lighter than brass, cast iron or darker metal finishes.

Ceramic door knobs are supplied in pairs with a mortice bar and fixings. Selected styles may also be available with latch or bathroom set options depending on the product. Check the individual product listing for compatible latches, locks and fitting details.

For co-ordinating ceramic details, browse our ceramic fingerplates, ceramic covered escutcheons and ceramic cabinet knobs. For wider guidance, read our Door Knobs Explained guide or our practical guide on how to choose door knobs.

Choosing ceramic door knobs

Before ordering ceramic door knobs, check whether your door uses a standard mortice latch, bathroom lock or rim lock. Most ceramic door knobs are designed for mortice latch or mortice lock fittings, but individual product details should always be checked before ordering.

Ceramic door knobs are a good choice for bedrooms, bathrooms, wardrobes and lighter interiors. Plain white designs give a simple traditional look, while crackle and gold-accented finishes add more decorative detail.

For bathrooms, remember that privacy is usually provided by a bathroom lock and separate turn and release, not by the ceramic knob itself. If the door is used regularly with wet hands, make sure the knob shape and latch action feel comfortable in daily use.

Larger ceramic styles, such as cream crackle ceramic door knobs, can work well on painted internal doors where a slightly stronger visual detail is wanted.

Matching ceramic door knobs with other hardware

Ceramic door knobs can be paired with matching or complementary ceramic details such as a ceramic fingerplate, ceramic covered escutcheon or ceramic cabinet knob. These are useful where you want to carry the ceramic detail through doors, cupboards and painted furniture.

For the working hardware behind the door, you may also need suitable butt hinges, tubular latches, bathroom turns or door stops. When choosing these items, consider the rose finish as well as the ceramic knob itself, as brass, chrome, nickel or antique-style finishes can change how the door furniture sits in the room.
