Aged Brass Door Knobs

Aged brass door knobs are a good choice when you want the appearance of aged brass with a more consistent finish across a project. The softer brass tone works well on traditional internal doors, painted doors, period homes and interiors where polished brass would feel too bright.

Our aged brass door knobs are available in mortice and selected rim lock styles, depending on the product. Designs include round, reeded and traditional knob styles that can be paired with suitable latches, locks and bathroom turn and release fittings.

Aged Brass is different from Antique Brass in our range. Antique Brass has more natural variation between products and batches, while Aged Brass is designed to give a more controlled finish across door, window and cabinet hardware.

For added choice, similar designs are also available in satin brass, polished chrome, satin nickel and matt bronze finishes.

For co-ordinating hardware, browse our door plates, butt hinges, door stops, keyhole escutcheons and bathroom turn and releases. For more guidance, read our Antique Brass Door Knobs Explained guide or our wider Door Knobs Explained guide.

Choosing aged brass door knobs

Before ordering, check whether your door uses a standard mortice latch, bathroom lock or rim lock. Most aged brass door knobs are designed for mortice fittings, while selected styles may also be available for traditional surface-mounted rim locks.

Aged Brass is useful where you want a coordinated finish across a larger project. It can be easier to match across door knobs, window furniture and cabinet hardware than a more naturally varied antique brass finish.

If you are ordering door hardware in stages, Aged Brass may be the safer choice where consistency is important. If you prefer a more individual aged appearance, Antique Brass Door Knobs may be worth considering instead.

Aged brass door knobs can work well in Victorian-style interiors, cottages, renovation projects and homes where a bright polished brass finish would feel too new. Reeded and beehive styles are particularly suitable where you want a traditional brass look with a more consistent finish.

Matching aged brass door knobs with other hardware

Aged brass door knobs can be paired with matching or complementary keyhole escutcheons, bathroom turns, door plates, door stops and butt hinges.

If you are choosing hardware for a whole property, keep the finish family consistent where possible. Aged Brass is useful when you want a softer aged look but still need a more controlled appearance across different types of door furniture.
