Our main arrow end hinges are hand forged from mild steel and available in black beeswax or pewter. These hinges range from smaller cupboard sizes through to large options suited to internal doors. The forged arrow tip adds a distinct period character and works especially well with rustic timber, older cottages and barn conversions.

Tudor Gate Hinges

For heavier doors or gate-style joinery, our Tudor gate hinges provide additional strength while keeping the same traditional style. These are ideal for larger internal doors, porches, outbuildings or feature joinery where a more substantial hinge is required.

Dummy Hinge Fronts

Dummy hinge fronts allow you to achieve the appearance of a full arrow end strap hinge without providing any structural support. Available in black beeswax and pewter, they are suitable for panelled doors, cupboards fitted with concealed hinges or situations where symmetry is desired.

Choosing the Right Size

As with other tee hinges, an arrow end hinge typically spans between half and two-thirds of the door width. As a general guide, a 30-inch door is usually paired with an 18-inch hinge. Smaller sizes are suited to cupboards, wardrobes and lightweight joinery, while larger straps provide better support for full-size internal doors.
