Door Handles

Explore our collection of From The Anvil door handles, including lever handles on rose, lever handles on backplate and multipoint handles for external doors. The range brings together traditional hand-forged designs and refined contemporary styles for period properties, renovations and modern interiors.

Choose door handles made from materials including solid brass, solid bronze, mild steel and marine-grade stainless steel. Available finishes include antique brass, aged bronze, polished bronze, polished chrome, polished nickel, black, Beeswax and Pewter Patina, with availability varying between individual designs.

Selected handles are offered in latch, lock, bathroom and Euro-profile configurations. We also stock multipoint door handles for compatible external locking systems and Grade 316 stainless steel options for coastal properties and other exposed locations.

Lever Handles on Rose

Lever handles on rose use a compact round, square or decorative fixing plate to create a clean appearance. They can be combined with a tubular latch for a standard internal door or paired with separate escutcheons and bathroom turns where locking or privacy is required.

Both sprung and unsprung versions are available on selected designs. An unsprung handle must be paired with a suitably strong, heavy-duty latch capable of returning the lever to its horizontal position.

Lever Handles on Backplate

Lever handles on backplate combine the lever and plate in a single fitting. They are available in traditional and contemporary designs, with different configurations for passage, locking and bathroom doors.

Depending on the product, options may include:

  • Latch handles for ordinary internal passage doors
  • Lock handles with a traditional keyhole profile
  • Bathroom handles for use with a compatible bathroom lock
  • Euro-profile handles for doors fitted with a suitable Euro cylinder and lock

Traditional and Contemporary Finishes

The range covers understated modern finishes as well as traditional ironmongery. Antique brass and aged bronze provide warmer, characterful tones, while polished chrome and polished nickel create a brighter contemporary appearance.

Hand-forged mild-steel designs are available in finishes such as Black, Beeswax and Pewter Patina. Beeswax is a living finish that requires occasional maintenance and is normally intended for interior use unless the product is specifically described as having an exterior-grade finish.

Multipoint Handles for External Doors

Multipoint door handles are designed to operate compatible multipoint locking systems commonly fitted to external timber, composite and patio doors. Before replacing an existing set, carefully compare the fixing centres, spindle position, backplate dimensions and distance between the spindle and cylinder.

Multipoint handles are not universally interchangeable. Always check the measurements and lock compatibility shown on the individual product listing before ordering.

Marine-Grade Stainless Steel Door Handles

Selected From The Anvil handles are manufactured from Grade 316 stainless steel. This material offers excellent resistance to corrosion and is a practical choice for coastal properties, exposed entrances and locations with increased moisture.

Satin Marine Stainless Steel has a subtle brushed appearance, while Polished Marine Stainless Steel provides a brighter reflective finish. Even marine-grade hardware benefits from regular cleaning to remove salt and surface deposits in highly exposed coastal locations.

Choosing the Correct Door Handle

Before ordering, check whether the handle is intended for an internal or external door and confirm the required latch or lock function. You should also compare the door thickness, spindle size, backset, fixing centres and backplate dimensions with your existing hardware.

If replacing handles on an existing door, make sure the new rose or backplate will cover any previous fixing holes and marks. Product listings contain the relevant dimensions and compatibility information for each design.
