Wall Lights for Living Spaces

Create layers of task and ambient lighting with our collection of wall lights. These fittings can be used beside reading chairs, along hallways, on either side of a fireplace or to highlight artwork and architectural features.

The collection includes Brindley and Flora wall-light designs in metallic and nature-inspired finishes. Selected wall lights are made to order and hand-finished, so check current production times before planning installation.

Before ordering, consider the projection from the wall, mounting height, available wiring and the direction in which the shade casts light.

Ceiling Pendant Lights

Create a focal point with our ceiling pendant lights. Pendant lighting works particularly well above kitchen islands, dining tables, breakfast bars and in entrance halls.

The range includes Brindley, Flora, Frankley, Harborne and Hockley designs made from materials including brass, copper and steel. Choose from polished, plated, burnished and powder-coated finishes, with smooth or hammered interiors available on selected products.

Measure the shade diameter, overall drop and ceiling rose before purchasing. The pendant must provide adequate clearance without obstructing movement or views across the room.

Five-Light Cluster Pendant Lights

For a larger statement, explore our cluster pendant lights. Each fitting combines five matching shades suspended at different heights to create a cascading arrangement.

Cluster pendants are especially effective in stairwells, entrance halls and rooms with high or vaulted ceilings. The current range includes Brindley and Flora cluster designs in metallic and painted finishes.

Check the complete fitting weight, ceiling-rose dimensions and shortest and longest drops. Cluster lights may require additional structural support and safe future access for cleaning and bulb replacement.

Brass, Copper and Nickel Lighting

Metallic finishes can help coordinate lighting with cabinet handles, door furniture and other details:

• Brass lighting introduces a warm gold tone and works across period and contemporary interiors.
• Copper lighting offers a warmer red-toned finish with a distinctive decorative presence.
• Nickel lighting creates a cooler silver appearance suited to clean and modern rooms.
• Burnished finishes provide greater colour variation and depth across the metal.

Nickel and other plated shades may use a different underlying base material. Check the individual product specification if the precise material is important to your project.

Painted Lighting Finishes

The lighting range includes painted finishes inspired by natural colours and landscapes. These offer a softer alternative to polished metal and can be coordinated with cabinetry, walls and interior textiles.

Colours can look different under warm or cool bulbs and in changing daylight. Hand-finished products may also show subtle variation between individual pieces.

Current finish options include Black Nickel, Satin Marine Stainless Steel and Matt Black. Their low-profile backplates provide a coordinated contemporary appearance.

Choosing a Compatible LED Dimmer

Not every LED bulb is compatible with every dimmer. Before ordering, confirm:

• That the bulb is explicitly described as dimmable
• The minimum and maximum load supported by the dimmer
• The combined wattage of every bulb on the circuit
• Whether the dimmer uses leading-edge or trailing-edge control
• The number of fittings and control points on the circuit

Using an incompatible combination can cause flickering, buzzing, restricted dimming or premature bulb failure. Ask a qualified electrician to confirm compatibility where necessary.

Decorative LED Light Bulbs

Complete exposed-bulb and open-shade fittings with our decorative LED bulbs. The range includes candle and rounded bulb styles for different shade profiles.

Before purchasing a bulb, check its cap size, voltage, wattage, physical dimensions and whether it is suitable for dimming. A bulb that is too large may extend beyond the shade or interfere with its intended appearance.

Planning a Layered Lighting Scheme

A well-balanced room will often use more than one type of light:

• Ambient lighting provides the general background level of illumination.
• Task lighting provides additional light for activities such as reading, cooking or working.
• Accent lighting draws attention to artwork, furniture or architectural features.

For example, a dining room might combine a central pendant with wall lights and dimmer control, while a kitchen may use pendants above the island alongside separate task lighting.

What to Check Before Ordering Lighting

Review the individual technical information and check:

• The shade and fitting dimensions
• The overall drop or wall projection
• The complete product weight
• The required ceiling or wall support
• The bulb cap and maximum permitted wattage
• Whether bulbs are included or sold separately
• Dimmer and bulb compatibility
• The product’s IP rating and approved room location
• The current made-to-order production time

Only install lighting in a bathroom or moisture-prone location if the product’s IP rating and approved electrical zone permit it.

Installation and Electrical Safety

Lighting, switches and dimmers must be installed according to their supplied instructions and applicable electrical regulations. Use a suitably qualified electrician where required.

The electrician should confirm that the wall or ceiling can support the fitting and that the supply, earthing, switching, dimming and bulbs are compatible.

Do not book installation work until the products have arrived and their dimensions, contents and condition have been checked.

Caring for Decorative Lighting

Switch off the electrical supply and allow bulbs and fittings to cool before cleaning. Use a soft, dry cloth to remove dust and avoid abrasive pads or strong chemical cleaners.

Only use metal polish where it is specifically recommended for the selected finish. Polishing a painted, plated, aged or burnished surface may permanently alter its appearance.
