Door Handles On Square Rose

Explore our collection of door handles on round rose, with traditional and contemporary designs for internal doors throughout the home. Their compact circular backplates and concealed fixings create a neat, streamlined appearance that works especially well where a full-length backplate is not required.

Choose from brass, bronze, black, chrome, nickel and stainless steel finishes, subject to the individual design. Many handles are available on their own or as coordinated latch, bathroom and locking sets, helping you select the correct function for bedrooms, bathrooms, living spaces and other doors.

What Are Door Handles on Round Rose?

A door handle on round rose consists of a lever mounted on a small circular backplate. The rose covers the spindle and fixing points, providing a clean finish without the larger plate used on traditional lever-on-backplate handles.

Because the lock or latch furniture is separate from the handle, round-rose designs offer flexibility when fitting doors with different functions. A simple latch can be used on a passage door, while separate escutcheons or a bathroom turn and release can be added where locking is required.

Styles and Finishes

Our round-rose door handles include understated modern levers, decorative period designs, reeded handles, hammered textures and traditional lever shapes. Available finishes vary between products but include:

  • Aged, polished and satin brass
  • Matt black and traditional black finishes
  • Polished chrome, satin chrome and satin nickel
  • Matt bronze, solid bronze and oil-rubbed bronze
  • Stainless steel and selected corrosion-resistant finishes

Finish availability, material and suitability for internal or external use will depend on the chosen handle. Check the individual product listing before ordering, particularly for entrance doors, bathrooms or properties in exposed coastal locations.

Door Handle Set Options

Many of our round-rose handles are available in a choice of set options. These may include:

  • Handles only: suitable when you already have a compatible tubular latch or locking mechanism.
  • Latch set: typically includes a pair of handles and a compatible tubular latch for non-locking internal doors.
  • Bathroom set: includes the components required to operate a bathroom lock, usually with a matching turn and emergency release.
  • 3 lever lock set: designed for internal doors where key-operated privacy is required.
  • Euro profile set: intended for use with a Euro cylinder locking system and available with selected handle designs.

The exact lock, latch, spindle, escutcheons and fixings supplied vary between products and set options. Some ranges include bolt-through latches or locks, while others use different fitting arrangements. Please check the contents listed on the individual product page.

Choosing the Right Latch or Lock

For a standard non-locking internal door, round-rose handles are normally paired with a tubular latch. The latch backset affects how far the handle sits from the edge of the door, so consider both comfort and appearance when selecting the size.

Bathroom doors require a compatible bathroom lock or a separate latch and deadbolt arrangement. Bedrooms, studies and other rooms requiring key-operated privacy may use a suitable sash lock. Euro profile sets should only be used with the compatible Euro cylinder and lock specified for the product.

It is also important to check whether your chosen handles are sprung or unsprung. Unsprung handles rely more heavily on the spring inside the latch or lock, so the two components must be compatible.

Replacing Existing Door Handles

If you are replacing existing handles, check the rose diameter, lever projection, door thickness, spindle size and fixing positions before ordering. You should also confirm the backset and type of the existing latch or lock.

A compact round rose may not completely cover marks or screw holes left by a larger backplate. Measuring the existing fitting area first will help you determine whether a round rose is suitable without additional door repairs.

Round Rose or Square Rose?

Round roses create a softer, compact appearance and complement both classic and contemporary interiors. If you prefer sharper lines and a more architectural look, explore our door handles on square rose.

For a more traditional design that combines the lever, keyhole or bathroom function on one plate, a lever-on-backplate handle may be a better choice.
