Door Handles On Square Rose

Door handles on square rose use a compact square plate behind the lever, with separate lock or bathroom furniture fitted where required. Suffolk Latch Company offers a range of square rose lever handles for internal doors, with selected designs available as handles only or with matching latch, bathroom and lock options.

The collection includes brass, bronze, black, chrome and nickel finishes across traditional and contemporary handle designs. Rose dimensions, materials, fixings, springing and supplied components vary between products, so check the individual specification before ordering.

Choosing Square Rose Door Handles

A square rose is the compact plate fitted behind the lever. It covers the spindle and fixing area while keeping the locking or bathroom furniture separate from the handle.

Unlike a round rose, the straight edges of a square rose create a more defined outline on the door. Check the rose dimensions as well as the lever projection when comparing designs, particularly if you are replacing an existing handle.

Latch, Bathroom and Lock Options

Selected square-rose ranges are available as handles only or with coordinated latch, bathroom, 3 lever lock and Euro-profile set options. Other handles use different arrangements, so the contents of one range should not be assumed to apply to another.

Check the selected variant for the latch or lock, spindle, escutcheons, bathroom turn and fixings that are actually supplied. For help choosing the mechanism behind the handle, read our guide to choosing the right lock or latch .

What to Check Before Ordering

Handles described as square rose do not all share the same dimensions or fixing arrangement. Rose width and height, lever projection, fixing positions, spindle arrangement, door thickness and latch or lock requirements can all vary.

Some ranges are available with different springing or fitting options, while others are supplied in a fixed configuration. Use the individual product specification to confirm compatibility rather than selecting by rose shape alone.

Square Rose or Round Rose?

Square and round rose handles use the same general principle of a compact lever plate with separate lock or bathroom furniture, but the shape and dimensions are different.

If you prefer a circular plate, browse our Door Handles on Round Rose . For a longer plate behind the lever, including designs with integrated keyhole, bathroom or Euro-profile openings, see our Door Handles on Backplate .

Replacing Existing Square Rose Handles

When replacing an existing handle, compare the new rose dimensions, fixing positions, lever projection, spindle and door thickness with the current fitting. A different rose size may expose old screw holes or marks on the door.
