Polished Nickel Door Knobs

Polished nickel door knobs are a good choice for internal doors where you want a reflective finish with a slightly warmer tone than polished chrome. They work well in traditional-modern interiors, Art Deco-inspired schemes, bathrooms, painted doors and rooms where chrome may feel too cool.

Our collection includes round, oval and beehive polished nickel door knobs. Designs are sold in pairs with a mortice bar and fixings, with selected styles available as latch sets or bathroom sets depending on the product.

Polished Nickel sits within our chrome and nickel finish group. Choose polished nickel for a warmer reflective finish, polished chrome for a brighter cooler look, or satin nickel for a softer brushed appearance.

For co-ordinating hardware, browse our door stops, cupboard knobs, door plates, keyhole escutcheons, butt hinges and bathroom turn and releases. For wider guidance, read our Door Knobs Explained guide or our practical guide on how to choose door knobs.

Choosing polished nickel door knobs

Polished Nickel is useful where you want a bright metal finish but prefer a warmer tone than polished chrome. It can work well with painted doors, marble, neutral interiors, darker wood and period-modern rooms.

Before ordering, check whether the door uses a standard mortice latch, bathroom lock or rim lock. Most polished nickel door knobs are designed for mortice fittings, but individual product details should always be checked before ordering.

If you are choosing hardware across several rooms, compare polished nickel with polished chrome and satin nickel before deciding. Polished chrome is usually cooler and brighter, satin nickel is softer and brushed, and polished nickel gives a warmer reflective finish.

For warmer finish alternatives, you may also wish to compare satin brass door knobs or matt bronze door knobs.

Matching polished nickel door knobs with other hardware

Polished nickel door knobs can be paired with door stops, cupboard knobs, door plates, keyhole escutcheons, hinges and bathroom turns.

Where exact finish matching is important, check product details carefully. Nickel, chrome and mixed-material products can vary slightly between suppliers, product types and base materials.
