Product Info

The Black Shepherd's Crook Window Fastener is a traditional casement window fastener for timber windows. The classic Shepherd's Crook design is well suited to period properties and country-style homes and is made from solid cast iron with a black beeswax finish.

These traditional locking window fasteners are available in left and right hand versions. If you are unsure which handed fastener you need, please see our window fastener handing guide.

Each fastener is supplied with both a hook plate and mortice plate, making it suitable for flush and recessed casement windows. An Allen key is included to lock the handle. Please note that this locking mechanism is intended as an additional feature to help keep windows secure and should not be used as a security lock.

For further details and measurements of the Black Shepherd's Crook Window Fastener, please see the PDF drawing in the Dimensions tab.

Please note: The beeswax finish can be sticky to the touch as it acts as a natural protective coating. Buff with a soft cloth or read our guide to caring for hand forged ironmongery.
